unguicalarus won't grow here--or I should say, not winter over. It grows at this latitude on the west coast. All pictures very nice.

Your gardens are so beautiful! I love how so many of your shots have other blooms that echo the Iris colors, like the California Poppies matching the beards of Aurelie.

Tks Neal. I guess you are taking a much better care of your gardens than I do. I had a glimpse at your cubits and read about so much care about bulbs. Just to tell that sometimes poppies and others nigellas and so are growing like weeds here and it happen to match great....

Oh, I doubt that- its been so hot here all summer, the weeds have been having a hayday! Many of my favorite combos are those I didn't plan- Mother Nature is the best garden designer of all, LOL.

TO THE OWNERS AND TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CUBITS

INTERLUDE

Why 'Clusiana"?. Clusianas belong to Tulipa genus. Species is growing in the vineyards. Very easy growing. Nice hybrids. A few pics to introduce myself; I kindly ask the owners to delete this post after two days.

Oh no Clusiana! What must we delete such beautiful pictures?

I figured your name was after the clusiana tulip.

Looks like I will need to start looking for those lovely tulips and get some in my half whiskey barrels

The gophers make it impossible to plant those in the ground as that is like catnip is to cats...or bones to dogs.

They will come from every grass seed farmer around me to eat and feast on them, and those are just too pretty to allow them to eat them

Thank you C for posting those beauties.

D

Have to delete because some are her own hybrids and she might introduce them in the near future Polly:( too bad to loose those loviles but understand why...just thankful she shared them with us

Can not pick out one I like the best but maybe the red one first.

Oh, OK, gotcha.

Yes, Clusiana, when you introduce them, please post pictures and names on this cubit. We would just love to see them.

Of course, you can ALSO post on Bulbous Plants. We will share you with Neal only because we love him so much, LOL.

Aaawwww...it feels good to be loved, LOL.

Is that gorgeous coral-salmon colored one a hopeful future introduction? That one looks different in coloring from any of the clusianas I grow- its really wonderful! Especially with the bronze foliage around it!

Dee

Awfull English ! Gosh ! ,none of these hybrids are mine of course (I mean I have never created hybrids of tulips).
Feel free to put this post somewhere else, for example on neal's thread.
The red one is the species (red and white with a purple heart). I am going to join a better pics showing the inside. These tulips are quite tall but they be very happy on your whiskey barrels Dee.
I just wanted to show you these tulips as yes Polly, my name was after clusiana tulip.
May be that we can wait for tulips. I can tell you now that I have many great things to show you. We have plenty of time.

The coral salmon is Clusiana Tinka and I have been misunderstood with my kitchen English. I am not creating tulip hybrids.

Oh, your English is fine, looking back it can read either way. Probably a bit of wishful thinking on my part- I love having an "in" with folks creating new hybrids, LOL.

Translation was fine. A lovely group of pictures. We are careful about planting tulips here as the deer eradicate them. Sad
I wonder if mixing them with daffodils would work. At least they leave the iris riticulata alone.
