Super pictures! What kind of bug is in the second picture? A snail? What fun to see the visitors as well. Is that lavender in the back ground?

Hi Dee,

Yes it is one of them, the nice ones with different colors. I keep them when I found empty shells, wash them and varnish them so colors still lok great. In the background there is a santoline. I love the color and the foliage.

As our slugs are UGLY and do much damage we kill them...but if I had snails with pretty thicker shells I too would varnish and keep them, as I have seen pictures of them and they are so colorful. You would welcome those into the gardenLOL

Very nice Santoline. I have large bushes of Lavender and rosemary in my garden.

To have more interest in the commercial field will plant my seedlings then a row of true lilies then the siberians, then row of lupine then the Spuria, then more lilies then the JI and finally delpheniums

I love cut flowers in the house.

MA MIE. HISTORICS. FERDINAND CAYEUX 1906

Cayeux family are iris hybridizers since the end of the 19th century. We are now reaching the fourth generaltion. This iris created in 1906, diploid historic has been back to trade in 2006 to celebrate one century of hybridizing and to honour Ferdinand Cayeux. Flowers are smaller. I personally love it. A bit of French history to go overseas.

Dee,

I am not comiting any murder in the garden, not because it is not an English one but most of the bugs are necessary to the life. With all the rain in the spring I can tell that I was near to do like you and kill them...but I did not.

I love all smelling good bushes. Managing gardening with trade must not be that obvious. You must think deeply before doing things. Not very lucky with the delphiniums. I alway try to get flowers to cut besides roses.

See you later aligators. I have to leave the computer for a while.

So glad that you have CeeJay. It was hybridized by a lovely person, now deceased.
