welcome Kent...

That is such a great area for iris. Another guy up your way is Dale Austin, he grows bearded iris in almost total sand and he has great iris.

I have been in your area several times and know from the areas you have lived in prior that you must really love your hometown area

Hope to see you posting often and with many many pictures of your babies

Thanks, everybody. On a different note, does anyone have some inside information on when Mid-America is going to put up their 2011 catalog? That's all I need to finish off my list for this year.

For the last two or three years Paul has posted their downloadable pdf catalog on the website sometime in February, and he doesn't start updating the website listings until that is done. I'm checking for it every day now, and when you go to their website home page up at the top it will say "Download Catalog." Click on that, and when the new catalog is posted there it will say "2011" rather than "2010." That way you can download their entire catalog and peruse it a few days or weeks ahead of receiving it in the mail.

Most of our iris aren't doing much yet, but the Mums are putting out new growth. It's really dumb of them, cause we still have about 3 MORE months before our last freeze or frost.

Mums are apparently tough plants! They withstand the drought and heat here and the freezing cold here. It's surprising how they always come back!
Another Day in Paradise!
