I didn't know that -- thanks Dee!! I'll be using those "ses from now on.

BTW -- the golden Irises in front of my Japanese Red Maple are Picasso Moon. I know you can't see them real well, so it really doesn't matter, but I like to be accurate about these things!! I tip my hat to you.

I wish Cubits had a threader watcher book-mark wherein you could mark where you left off reading the last time you visited. I know there's tons of posts I'm missing, especially in the longer threads.

Ok, how far away are we from bloom season? My irises are really growing. I have not seen a bloom stalk yet but they can't be too far away now.

These are some of the risies I got from Polly last year. They are not tall bearded irises. What are they Polly? One of them is named Baby Sister. Polly wasn't real sure how these plants would do here in the Texas heat. I planted them next to the pond so they get plenty of water. Here are a couple of the Hostas starting to grow and poke their heads out of the ground too.

Paul, I go to the thread, and wait until it shows it loaded, and then hit first unread. Otherwise if it's really long it's going to bounce awhile.

Marian, you have two siberians and two JIs. I can't wait to see how they do!

Evan, also, if you don't post in the thread (which then automatically puts it on your watch list) but want to continue following it, just hit the 'Watch' at the top left of the thread to add it to your list. If it gets too boring, you can always "Unwatch' it, not that ever happens around here. Rolling my eyes.

How is your snow melt going? We can see the board barrier on one of out beds, but snow still inside the barrier. We still have several other iris beds to uncover.

That's OK. Yours will be gone and mine will be blooming. So there! And there will come Jenna to pick up her digger, and take home every bulb or plant that catches her fancy. I can't wait. And the birds will be singing, and the cat will be chasing grass, and then there will be irises!

How about a picture Dee, to get me really going?

I have the Old white cemetery irises blooming and I also have some small purple irises starting to bloom. My bloom season will probably be a little early this year but I'm not really sure.

Marian

I'll post a picture in a little while of the UGLY white iris.

Calif_Sue,
Thanks for the tip Sue.

Dahlianut,
ALL of them? It's tough keeping tabs of those I'm watching now. You're right about all the great stuff being posted.

To all you warmer clime folks. I can feel your excitement. Doesn't stop the envy though. My Galanthus just finished blooming, right on schedule. My gifted NOID beardeds are still green, the reticulata have sent up lots of shoots. Still no sign of the JI's or special NOID. I had forgotten the white NOID, maybe Siberian, which I'll try for an ID once it flowers.

Lucy,
We have almost no snow left with all the rain of late. There predicting high 50's into the 60's for the next few days!
Evan
