I see we have quite a few new members in the last couple of months. Please come in and talk to us. Promise we don't bite.

We would love to hear from the new members, and see pictures of your gardens if you wish to show them, or just talk to us if you don't.

If anyone has trouble finding their way around, just let me know, by clicking on my name and sending me a Cmail.

As you can see my Iris are suffering from too much wind, and rain, their blooms are soaking wet.

Iris season was just about a bust for me. With the high winds we endured during the early part of the bloom season, I lost about a hundred bloom stalks -- snapped right off. Spent a fortune on stakes, trying to salvage what was left. Then, about the time that the winds calmed down, I had to leave for an extended trip -- during which most of my Irises bloomed. Sad By the time that I got back, most everything was done except a few stragglers and late bloomers. I did get to see a few new-to-me ones though -- Starring, Red Hawk, Edith Wolford, Fringe of Gold -- every one of them a treasure!!

So -- I'll do my garden work -- thinning, trimming, weeding, feeding -- and dream about next year. Sigh.
Every day is a second chance. Every day is precious time.
