Your picture of Silverado made me add it to my wish list. I didn't know you had spurias too. I have 3 spurias that were planted in 2009 that I hope bloom this year. Yours is so pretty!

Hello Marylin
Silverado really worth it. Of course it is a Dykes medal winner, it is a reliable bloomer and got beautiful shades. love it. Slow grower though.

You have an incredible garden, C! Really fantastic!
May 12, 2011 11:32 AM CST
Thank you Betty. Today I have been weeding as the temperature were not so high after a thunderstorm and some rain. Almost nobody can afford a gardener anymore and it is a lot of work, and a lot of pleasure of course. Doing mistakes and learning all the time (the best part). Glad you like it.

check out 'Canadian Streaker' I think it is a 'broken-color' flower, not white. Although colors can change in different soils.
May 12, 2011 3:32 PM CST
hello Lucy
Thank you for posting. Canadian Streaker is not a brolen color at all according from the description, please have a look and let me know where you find out this information. I would be glad to know.
Here it is and you have the English translation with a click on the British flag
This iri has a purple base and a variegated foliage though it is not obviious for the one I have. Very light blue when opening

I looked again & found that I had the wrong information. Sorry.

Lucy I know that you have a very good eye for irises and sometimes you can be confused when reading information overall if you do not get the right one. I have to thank you really as now I know that some members of this cubit are reading this thread (I was not sure as I do not have much comments).
Kent thank you to the register.
