I also like Froufroutant. LOVE the beards on Premier Cru. Infusion Tilleul is really different and I love it. I usually don't like yellow irises, but Lingot d'Or is beautiful. Thumbs up

Truth is worth finding
Wow
How beautiful and the choice would be very hard if I had to choose just a few.
I am not a collector or even very knowledgeable about iris , just know they are one of my favorite flowers.

If I wanted a bold statement I would choose Chaud boquet or Froufroutant I tend to go bold.

For unusual color combination I would choose Grand Coquette, I don't have anything close to it in the garden.

you should be very proud they are all very beautiful and would better any garden

Lucy -- I like yellow Irises! But I like bright or vivid yellow -- don't care much for pale yellow. On the other hand -- I don't care for any pale color in Irises, except for exotic pale colors. Color preference is such a personal thing!!

right & it depends on what else you have in the garden. We have mainly the iris plants, especially the dwarf ones. Thumb of 2014-03-04/irisarian/eba0e5

Hi everyone
Thank you for your comments. In fact I have been thinking about irises and how and why to make a choice. Too much color side by side is spoiling the very eye's catcher irises having either very bright or 'strong colors'. So I think that is up to the garden you have. I am taking the kind of growth into account also. I far prefer slow growers to strong growers having a too fast increase. Yep I am becoming quite lazy when it comes to divide and replant. Among the top ten of the 2014 introductions I think that most of the irises each of you is mentioning will know a good success. Besides they should become out of stock very quickly and orders have to be made now. I have ordered Froufroutant (this one is really an eye's catcher with fantastic spoons, Jardins de Chaumont (beautiful blue self) and Aile Volante.

Mine bloomed today as well....so maybe winter is over. Tons of daffodils in bloom and going to a big show this weekend to see what is new out there. I am backing off of the ones that have heavy blooms as they end up in the mud with all our rain.

My Snakes Head iris " Hermaodactylus tuberose" bloomed today as well. Love them and only want more and more, so different and unusual

Hi Dee
A second bloomed today. I am having no luck with hermodactylus tuberosous. I just received a beautiful picture as a gift!!! but no bloom in the garden. I am weeding some irises very special to me in the garden;
Today is quite impossible to work outside. Suddenly too hot like hell.

Hi! Thank you Marilyin. Junos are fantastic irises. So many, so challenging sometimes.
Dee. Here they announce rain, rain!!! but I am still weeding.
Lucy Junos are lasting here. The easier. I thought I lost I. Magnifica as it was not far enough from spurias which are spreading over much too fast but here it is. Another Juno (blue) bloomed today and I. Germanica kharput is in bud with St Petersburg. Always very early with big buds.
Season is on!!! great.
