I have been watering them but they just started to open today.

It is very dry here, right now but it is a pretty thing. Not like that white one tho.
Beautiful plants to watch bloom.

So, I take it you're partial to the white one? It's name is Anytus, in case you ever want to trade it.

The one you just pictured looks good, but the bog ones definitely did better.

I'm going to set each color in it's own little bog. I love them all. The scond one of the group may be open this afternoon. I still have to show this one on our Southern grown page.
Thank you, Betty.

Great idea about individual bogs. I do that for my lotus and mini water lilies.

Depends on the size of my bog. I have some pretty Chameleon plant that has pinkThumb of 2011-05-22/Ridesredmule/761da7 here it is on the right. Also some Lizard's tail in another bog. Very good idea. I think I may, at that...

Neal, I grew up next to an older lady with flowers, but I never got in her bed or talked to her. I think I was really little. I just have a little memory of it.

Charleen, they are treasures inded!

Doris, we are getting the rain today. I hope it doesn't ruin the Iris that have opened.

You have a lot of nice colors in the bed! Is that Indian Chief?

Mar Ann, my heart goes out to you. It's one thing to wait all year to see them bloom. Then to have this happen? Wah!

Kathy, you got that right!!LOL!

Charleen, how beautiful!! I love the deep purple top! You are sooo lucky to have a bog!

Those are pretty plants! Isn't the chameleon a bit invasive?

This is last year's picture of the shorter Siberian Iris. It has no name so I call it Marie. The second set is the taller and darker, and called Lori since it also has no name.

Yes, the Chameleon and the Lizard tail are both supposed to be rather invqasive but since I have them contained, there should be no problem.

And I doubt they could crowd out the Japanese irises.

Charleen, both are beautiful! I do know someone who tried pulling all her Chameleon out, LOL!

They were so enjoyable to see! I'm glad they lived and bloomed for you, so far from their home. I enjoyed them!

Steve is blooming. Again, an old picture as I haven't taken the camera out in the rain.

He is boldly purple :o)

Smiling, I do too. I really need to add more Siberians. The white Snow Queen are coming out now. I also have Swank, the first to bloom, and Orville Faye, yet to bloom. I lost Ego :o(

I brought a blue, Flag Iris home and also have the yellow. The whole little bed needs redone.
