This was my favorite TB seedling which had its maiden bloom in 2010. It did not bloom in 2011 but I hope it will bloom in 2012 as I would like to cross it with some of my plicata SDBs. I am curious what kind of IB such a cross would produce.Thumb of 2012-01-11/Tiganja/0ea5e1

That is just gorgeous! And you don't introduce any of your seedlings?

Neat beards to go with the rest of the flower. Are your SDBs plicatas or plicata carriers. The trick is to use the best traits (plant and flower) & let the color be secondary.

Hi Polly,
I will not introduce this seedling as it is a poor grower. Probably I will try to cross it with SDB plicata ´Our gang´ (I love Our gang and it grows and blooms very well for me - will try to freeze the pollen to use on several TBs). Hoping for some nice IBs with better plant habits than this seedling. You can not see it in the picture but this seedling is diamond dusted and has strongly contrasting yellow/orange style arms - hope some of this will transfer to the offspring.

Well, darn! LOL. I'm a nut for diamond dusting.

Next yr can you feeze the TB polen to use on SDBs the following yr? I prefer to use the plaqnt which is a better grower as the pod parent if possible. I just keep the SDB pollen in the frig when going to use it the same season.
