Hi Everyone, I'm a bit overwhelmed, thought my 24 different Iris was something, WOW I'm hanging with the big league! I love my Iris and started growning them about 5 years ago. I add a few each year. This past fall I did a full out cull and dug up every single plant and traded or gave away tons of them. Now it's show time for me to see what's going to bloom this year as I only kept 3 rizomes from each variety. So far 7 have bloomed and there are plenty of blooms not open. I found my index is off so I'm watching and photographing everything. I have even had a bee pod baby, I'm so thrilled, and looking at the site, this is an everyday thing for you all. Anyway what is a TB? and I'm Jacki, live in Burlington NC, have a husband and a brand new puppy that likes gardening and I'm very crafty. Between my craftroom, my garden and work I stay busy... I look forward to learning more... Thumb of 2012-04-12/Jacki/43d00b
This is my wisteria on an arbor, I fight to keep it here but it's worth it for the short blooming time...

Grandchildren are my greatest joy.
Welcome Jacki. We are a friendly helpful bunch of iris lovers. A TB is a Tall Bearded Iris. There are several different classifications of bearded iris and a number of beardless ones also. You will pick it up along the way and enjoy the journey. I love your wisteria. Blooming in my garden now are the SDBs...Standard Dwarf Bearded...here is one...Dollop Thumb of 2012-04-12/Paul2032/f1f78e

Welcome, welcome, Jacki!!!!

Hey, don't worry, you have enough irises to run with the big dogs, LOL. Even 1 is enough on here, so you're 24 times above that already.

Glad you're here, and can't wait to see pics. New puppy pics welcome, too!!!

Hi Jacki! I'm in Gboro so we're neighbors:) You'll like it here and no matter how few iris you think you have--you will be inspired to gather more--even if you are "out of space" for more:lol:

I am an apartment dweller and just counted my 2012 purchases of singles and was surprised to find I have to dig new homes or pot up 54 new iris Big Grin Rolling on the floor laughing
