I apologize in advance if this subject has already been covered. I was not on my computer much at all in December--on vacation, and may have missed an explanation. For years I have gone to a website that had the photos categorized and Aphabetized of Superstition Iris Garden's iris that were in their printed pricelist catalog. When I go there now it has changed and I do not know how to get to the pictures or if they are even still there. Has anyone else navigated this situation already and has some answers as to whether there is a way to see these pix?
Thank you. I coundn't find it before because I am not patient enough and did not know exactly what I was looking for with all the timing hesitations and jumps. This fb process is much slower going on my computer. It is more time consuming and not as efficient.
I will wait for their catalog. Paper and ink prevail.
Paul,
Thanks Paul, after several attempts I found what I was looking for, but do not plan to use the slowwww fb process. It is just too tedious for me and my computer setup.
It's my understanding that their catalog will only have descriptions and price information. The photographs will be on Facebook. Is that how everyone else understands it?
Every day is a second chance. Every day is precious time.
If you go to their facebook page and click on "Photos" at the top and then click on "Albums", you'll see pictures of all (pretty much I think) of the irises they have available, arranged in a similar fashion to the way they were on the Webshots site.
I had gone ahead and emailed Superstition and they sent me details on how to navigate and overcome all my disappointments in the new method of seeing their pix. You covered it as well. Makes all the difference.
I don't think they ever had a proper website. They had a webshots photo album with pictures in it. It would be nice if they built a website that you can order from.
I think that a lot of the Iris "houses" don't fully understand the problems that some of us "non-techies" have with their sites. Any thing is easy if you know how! I, personally have "given up", and not ordered from some places because I couldn't understand the process, or refused to take the time to figure it out!( I'll admit, I'm a "quitter",when I get exasperated). I'm as guilty as the next guy, because I don't usually make comments to the site owner on the ease, or dis-ease, of their site. There is one place( which will remain nameless) that has several iris no-one else has, and I'd love to have them, but I can't figure out how to order them, and I have never recieved a reply to my queries! Guess they have enough business without mine!....Arlyn
web sites can be new to nureries as well unless they had tech help in building them Also Superstition for instance is very rural & might not have had the capacity until recently.
