The JI I have had were not all that great as far as irises go. Beautiful flowers but having no substance?? as they only last about two or three days. Very flimsy in the wind and hot sun. They would be perfect in a partially shaded edging around a koi pond or one of the manufactured streams bouncing over stones. They are easy to care for with watering and fertilizing. I planted mine for the first time about 12 inches apart which was entirely to close and let them nearly smother each other with the larger clumps hiding the smaller ones. They should have been at least 24 to 30 inches apart for the best growth. Some did not respond to transplanting well but appear to be hanging in there for next year's growth. I would buy more if I had the proper environment for them.
