I love all of them, especially the first 3 and the last 3. You have done a wonderful job! I know what you mean about the rain. I went out to take pictures this morning and the 2 new ones that bloomed are soggy looking, and it looks like more rain on the way. Hopefully when the other buds open it won't be raining.
Hi Anja; sorry I missed your post some days ago. . . I really like your latest series of seedling photos! Is it possible that the one with the lines on the falls and blue beards posted on May 22nd has Kleine Ballerina as one of its parents? Here are three of my best SDBs from 2009 that have been reselected this year.
Hi Michele,
I am sorry, I do not know the parents of my seedlings. But I do not have Kleine Ballerina.
Love your seedlings, especially the first one with the wonderful beard.
Thanks Anja. . . your seedling with lines on the falls and blue beards reminded me of Kleine Ballerina is all. Are all those beauties really from bee pods??
Hi everyone. . . yes, I play with SDB crosses once in a while, too, Marilyn. Thanks for the compliment. I'm sorry it took me so long to come back to the forum, but I've been run off my feet with all the work I have to do at the moment (it finally stopped raining after the month-long rain in May) These three SDBs will have names as of this year and I'll be sending rhizomes of them to my distributor in the States. I don't really know if anyone will buy brown irises, but we'll see.
