Thanks, everyone, for the nice comments. Tom--Yes, your NOID looks like a dead ringer for Instructor to me. Instructor did bloom early. I hope that it gets a bit taller next year--only the terminal bloom was above the leaves this year. I'd of course be happy to grow yours side-by-side with mine if you'd like. Mary Ann--I absolutely could not believe how beautiful Bold Accent is in person. We've had horrendous storms the last several days, and although I didn't post shots of the most beaten-down flowers, some of the ones I posted aren't at the top of their form, either. "Bold Accent" is one of those. It may be my new favorite. Yes, JH is very striking. I remember when I ordered it from Dee on the phone that I said something to the effect that I wasn't sure what all the hoopla was about but that I wanted to grow it to see for myself and she said that she thought it was the form. Tom--Room isn't a problem. Yet. Earlier this spring I cleared huge swathes of the yard for all of the rhizomes I've ordered. Now I'm mostly worried about how I think I'm going to tend all of it! Just send me a c-mail with the size/cost of the box when you're ready. Mary Ann--Well, JH is does have one of those "inner glow" things going on. That effect was what drew me into "Afternoon in Rio," which unfortunately doesn't seem prepared to bloom for me this year. Quote | Post #978348 (14)
