Just found this forum today so joined up to try to learn a lot more about caring for my iris collection. I garden and raise critters on 5 acres in north Texas and will have around 500 iris varieties by the end of the year. Looking forward to "meeting" and learning from everyone here!

Holy-Moly!! 500 varieties? You must have an enormous amount of space devoted to your Irises. I'll be loving to see all your photos next Spring!!

Sale? On iris? Oh my, I need to go make more beds!!! Thanks to all for the welcome. Looking forward to getting to know you all. I would LOVE to have over a thousand varieties. That would be heaven on earth (well, for at least one month out of the year!)

Welcome ! Glad to have another addict here! If you are REAL serious about wanting more, check out the PSA on the Blue J iris site. A person has 3500 iris they want to sell at a $1.00 a piece, sounds like quite the collection!....Arlyn

Prostate Specific Antigen? Pacific Sociological Association? Poultry Science Association? Poetry Society of America? Hmm. I can't find *any* of these listed on the Blue J website. . . .

LOL! Sadly (or not depending on how you look at it) as I was rereading this thread after Orchid40's bump and realized with Dee's sale and the PNW sale, I'm going to have well over 600 varieties in my garden. I hope a good portion of them bloom next year. Can't wait to see them all "in person" in MY garden!! What a great group this is Smiling

I have a lot of space so adding new ones hasn't been an issue-except for the bank account. LOL!

Absolutely!! I'm lucky in that my hubby also enjoys them so never complains about what I spend on the garden stuff. It's sometimes better than he doesn't know exactly how many there really are, though Hilarious! Hilarious!
