Terry has posted a neat article concerning Michele and her story to hybridizer. Check it out!

Note: I find it unique/interesting that we have someone from New Zealand talking about an American living in France, all tied to the flower we all love; the IRIS!

Hi everyone and thanks ever so much for taking time to read the article. I guess it is interesting to hear how anyone got started breeding irises. . . I remember at the time I thought that this was the exclusive domain of those specialist people and it was something of a great revelation that I could do that, too. What no one tells you at the beginning---at least most of the time---is that it's a long road to any real progress. The thing is, I've come to the conclusion over the last 20 years that it isn't always and only "success" that's interesting; it's the road one travels, the people one meets and the things that happen along the way that will enrich your life.

Hi everyone;
Kind of hard to sum up 20 years of pollen-daubing, but thanks for your opinions; really appreciate that this little article of mine is well received. Looking forward to this year's results and efforts, hopefully there are some new wonders out there about to produce their first bloom.
