Oh how wonderful, Arlyn -- look at all the colors!! Whoopsadaisey, Romeo and Fantastic Blue -- all great! And Apricot Buff -- such a generous Iris -- large, plentiful blooms -- it tolerates whatever the environment throws at it. I'll always keep a spot for it. Smiling

It's a nice ,bright one, MaryAnn. It looks real y great when it re-blooms, with those "fall colors", it makes a nice addition to the bed! And speaking of beds, they are starting to look pretty good,getting enough bloom scattered through them for a nice show;

Now tell me -- center picture -- what is that lone yellow/red Iris way in the back?

You must mean this one: Blatant. This is about #4 bloom on it this spring, and the first one that is "tall'! All the others have been "down in the leaves", I think because of the un-settled weather...hot one day, and cold the next?!Thumb of 2014-05-24/crowrita1/b51ea0
The buds are kinda' neat looking, too!

Odd bloom from last year's pics
I'll try to get a better pic tomorrow, when it's well relaxed.....Arlyn

Ah. It's a beauty and will be awesome when it's clumped next to the medium blue one nearby. I think you're right about the weather -- causing all kinds of aberrations this year. Oh well -- at least we're getting/got blooms.

The beds and blooms are looking great Arlyn, Rob better keep hydrating, or he's going to dehydrate from all the drooling, Rolling on the floor laughing as you still have lots of bloom left to see.

Quite a few, I hope ! Had a fellow call me yesterday afternoon concerning a visit to see the iris: " When will you be at peak?" he asked, and I told him," The way this year is going, I won't be able to answer that till it's over!"! when he asked about which particular cultivars were in bloom, and I told him, he said "that can't be, those don't bloom at the same time!" I had to explain our "crazy weather year" ! I had given up on seeing a couple of my favorite SDB's this year, and decided they had taken a year off, but one of them opened yesterday, and the other is shooting stalks!? So I guess the secret is to enjoy 'em when you got 'em ! ....Arlyn
