Thank You ! Lots more are opening today, but a lot of them are "just" noids ! I am rather disappointed, though, with the size of the blooms, themselves. They seem to be running smaller than normal. I think it's been dry enough, that I SHOULD have been doing a little watering. I hate to water the "spring" iris, as it's too easy for the "rot' to happen. Fine line there, I guess  ...Arlyn |

Wonderful Arlyn -- time for bed-shots, don't you think? Must be very colorful!!  Everybody loves Tom's Red Iris -- it's beautiful!! Don't forget -- I'm waiting for your assessment on that. I had a lot of very small blooms this year too -- something that never happened before. Weather-related, I'm certain. All things considered, I guess we should be happy that we got blooms this year at all!! Oh -- and my red looks better at your house than it did at my house!! Every day is a second chance. This time of day, Jerry, Pass The Wine sounds like a real good idea !  . It's a nice looking iris, as well ! here's a few more from today, and I'm sorry about the quality of the pictures! They are usually pretty bad do to MY shaking...but with todays wind...the iris were shaking almost as bad as I was !! Cameliard  Cherokee Nation...I really like this one !  Cayenne Capers  Clarence...again, just 'cause I like it !  Coronation........notice the tiny, purple freckles.  Dover Beach....Thanks, MaryAnn, a real nice iris  Dundee--not, it sure does appear to be Blue Shimmer, MaryAnn ! | Oooooooh boy -- I sure do love Cherokee Nation!! I'm certain that Dundee IS Blue Shimmer, Arlyn -- just change your records on that one. Somewhere along the line -- many years ago -- I lost Dundee and didn't realize it and acquired Blue Shimmer (probably locally) and thought that was it. This was before I kept any records. I think it was mostly a trick of the light, that kept the blue feathering from showing up, MaryAnn, as it really is more 'powder blue,than it appears in the pic. Friday Night Chat is an IB, and supposedly will re-bloom in Wisconsin ( we'll see If it will in Illinois !). It's one Rita "picked out" when we visited Breezeway Iris last year.
