Yes, I have both, so that answers that. The other question, about Bright Hour, is the beard, but I see in your pics, the beard does look much more "full", and a "better" shade of yellow. I took some pics to post on the HIPS forum, which I will post here, but it's looking like, for whatever reason, the beards on "my" example, are just "wimpy"! Maybe later flowers will be more true to type. was your example grown next to a verified BR? Reason for my asking, is, I learned there is ANOTHER "child of Wabash",intoed by Schreiners, Mt. McKinley('47), that COULD be further "mudding the water" in the Wabash/Bright Hour question. I've posted requests for some "beard shots" of Bright Hour, several places, and will check out the beard condition on any later blooms, so until then! next thing! My NOID MA#1, is the one you had marked as "Rosalee", and the bloom this morning, after "aging" a day, does look considerably different in color tone. I can't post today's pic of it as my camera is "charging"! But later!![]() ![]() ![]() |

The lavender standard one looks like Helen Collingwood very good grower for me. It has no true PBF, but does show some purple higher up on the leaves early in the season. Here is HC:![]() See article at http://www.worldiris.com/public_html/gbu/gbu.html for Bright Hour vs. Wabash. |

No -- I haven't purchased and raised a Bright Hour next to mine. Just did the research, etc. Let me know if you think it's not Bright Hour. Regarding NOID Rosalee -- your photo looks so lavender that I didn't recognize it. Mine is really rose colored -- hence *Ros*alee. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Every day is a second chance. Every day is precious time. |

Dave -- I think we discarded Helen Collingwood as the identity of my lavender standard one -- because of the striations on the fall on either side of the beard. HC has very minimal striations there -- mine are heavier and go all the way to the end of the beard. What do you think? Also look at the beard itself -- HC has yellow going to white. I'll have to go back and look at mine again, but I think the beards are yellow all the way to the end? Can't go back and look without losing this post. I'll post -- then go look. Every day is a second chance. Every day is precious time. |

Well -- yellowER beards. The whole top of the falls just looks different to me from Helen Collingwood. ![]() Every day is a second chance. Every day is precious time. |
|

Also -- there's no little *dart* of white coming off the tip of the beard on mine like there is on your HC. Every day is a second chance. Every day is precious time. |

I'm really enjoying the *Indian* names that you have acquired. Most of these are Irises I've not only never seen, but never heard of either. Very, very cool Arlyn. How I wish I could see it all in person. Your photos are great, though!! Every day is a second chance. Every day is precious time. |

Arlyn - Way back a few pages you have a NOID pictured that I'm pretty sure is Mountain Melody. It has quite distinctive color and patterning.![]() You have a great collection ! |
