Thanks, Paul and Arlyn. . . I'm asking mainly because it's only just finishing its bloom and I'm too "close" to it to judge very well, though all the plants I lined out last year offered copious bloom this time around. I did already write out the description, so I guess all I'll need now is a name.

Michele....I know you are working with orange medians. Here is a nice orange IB form Blyth named Toffee. Think I may have heard that some IB's aren't fertile? Toffee Toffee
Hi Lucy and Paul. . . thanks for the comments, Lucy; I know that the standards are a bit open, but fortunately they do stay up. Thanks for the name suggestion, Paul---will look it up!
Apparently, many of the older IBs were infertile or difficult to set seed on and if you did get seeds, they might not come up. I have done crosses on IBs like Delirium in the past with results, both seeds and seedlings and have two crosses going this year with pollen from the SDB mentioned in this thread on Line Drive. Both crosses have taken, so now it'll be a question of seeing if the seeds will offer seedlings or not. A long road!
Thanks everyone for your opinions. . . it really helps to have many other points of view. I'm too close to the seedlings or have seen them too often, I don't know; it gets difficult to make choices.

Michele, for what its worth, I love this SDB seedling. I have a collection of SDB's and I find that with the exception of yellow there are not nearly as many 'warm' colors as there are pinks and purples. I love them too but I like a nice variety. And a lot of the SDB's have rows of color on the falls and yours has a nice warm blend AND ruffles. Its definitely a more beautiful iris than a lot I have bought, grow and enjoy.
Sorry, everyone, for my absence. . . the garden is a hard master these days! Thanks to all for your very helpful comments. I'll be sending some rhizomes of this to my distributor (Stout Gardens) in the States so he can have a look and decide if he wishes to put it on the market or not. I tend to be nervous about suggesting that yet another of my "brown" experiments be considered for introduction. I've got a nice MDB that's brown, too; really tiny. Here's a pic.
