I'm a few days earlier than last year....these opened on April 5th ,in 2014. I'm curious to see if the bearded follow suit, and bloom earlier, too !

In spite of our crazy and very wet spring, we are starting to get lots of stalks up. Retics bloomed several weeks ago and now there are SDBs coming on like mad and even TBs with some action beginning. It's getting exciting!!

Thank you. Ground would be too cold to plant anything new. Perhaps the weeds better die off & the deer stay away. That's better than 'the creek don't rise'. The water table will be pretty good however.

It's amazing how some of the perennial "weeds" seem to grow all winter long, under the snow, as well as how fast the annual "weeds" germinate in the spring.....I guess that's why they are "weeds " Sticking tongue out

Yup, an undesirable that grows where we don't want it, when we don't want it, that can overtake desirable plants at times. Amazing the number that resist all forms of control except physical removal, and even then some grow back.
