People who come to my garden always stop right over Jewel Baby and remark on the color. It is a lovely iris and even people who do not like unusual forms grow it for its beauty. It also has a long bloom period here.
Keep me posted on it's progress, as I *might* be able to steal you a piece, off mine. It isn't the "fastest" ,as to growth, or increase, but mine is doing pretty well.

Well, her pappy was a cheiftan all over this land! And before I start with the beautiful Annabel Lee, on this dreary day, I am going to start singing Jimmy Crack Corn!
The single stem of pumila Wild Whispers is going by. I felt the leaves of Keystone Oracle which is in an early spot & couldn't feel any flower stem. I'm afraid that it won't bloom this year & I wanted the pollen.
And a 'conundrum!......This is supposed to be Baby Snowflake, but, unless it's the Round Up talking....this looks 'cream yellow" to me, instead of white....obviously, the Round Up has damaged the flower's form....maybe affected the color, as well But unopened buds seem pretty 'yellow", as well!
I also noticed this years flowers are showing 'lees " blue...truly, Smell The Roses, and Alpine lake, as well as Forever Blue, should be "bluer"
love the little guys & thank you for the photo of Reddy Set. When Paul Black first saw the picture he commented on the 'nice little white edge' on the falls. I told him that I was trying to get rid of the nice little edge. He looked at me like I had 2 heads.
And thank YOU for the nice ,little iris ! In case you're wondering, it's a "better than average" increaser(2 years old, and an 18"-20" clump, so it'll be an "every other year divide" iris !), and the flower seems to hold up well!
I'm getting pretty fond of them, too, Lucy! They seem to never "disappoint" ! fairly disease free, and blooms last well (on most of them, Red At Last has pretty poor substance , but the rest "stay" real well !) And , being a re bloom nut....well, they always seem (the Re's)to summer, or fall bloom early!
