When we moved, it was only "just down the block", and most plants were just hauled down in a wheelbarrow ! And from the time we had bought the property, until we had the house built, and actually moved (about 2 years), many, many things were moved "when ever we had time", so the "moving plants" thing was not a big issue for us.
It sounds like, in your situation, Dave, the biggest issue is the time of year that you are moving. Were you able to "hammer out" a "deal" on moving things later, after the sale?
Thank you all. I am doing the planning now. Can't move too soon as the neighbor behind sprayed "Weed & Feed" all along my fence with roses, clematis and iris on the other side, and it was slightly windy! What an ignorant jerk, or is that too strong? Just leaving them with no washing as some are already misshapen along that area already.
It's almost impossible to accept that, in this day and age, there are people who don't realize that they are dealing with a "loaded gun" when they use ANY chemical ! Try as they might, neither the chemical companies, nor the government can "force compliance " on the user. So, I guess it's true what they say, "There IS no fix for STUPID !".. ! I almost wish they didn't sell the "yard" chemicals as concentrates....just as the "pre-mixed', because when you see folks 'just pouring", rather than using the measuring cup, it just proves that while , as a whole, Americans are a pretty smart bunch....individually, we can be real stupid !!
