I noticed "Ahwahnee Princess"opened yesterday, but didn't get back for a picture.....bugs have probably eaten the blossom by now . A couple more have sent up stalks, but, as I aid, this is a "poor" year, compared to the last few

Very nice, Arlyn and Welcome back. I wonder if I'll see any late or rebloomers. Our weather here has been the pits--feast or famine, in the extreme. On the bright side though, Florence has spared us.

Arlyn, I started painting a screened porch ceiling and you should have seen and heard the cloud of mosquitoes buzzing the screen. This could be the making of a horror movie. I 'suit up' in plus 90 degree weather with no skin exposed and tend to the garden. Needless to say some things are getting neglected.
Yes, the darn skeeters are making it impossible to do anything outside ! It has cooled off...dramatically...today, so maybe tomorrow I can stand a long sleeve shirt, long pants, and a bee keepers veil
I had one open today, that was *supposed* to be a pink, non-reblooming one.....it ain't pink, it DOES rebloom, and it looks to be either "Brother Carl", or "Immortality"....both are Zurbrigg intros, very similar to one another.
it was *supposed* to be "Embellishment"
I've decided it must be "Immortality", anyway, it is a "wrong" iris, so I need to add a "mistake" tag to it, and change my paperwork . There are some more in bloom....and several more putting up stalks. Now that it has cooled off, maybe some more will start .
