naughty Sun Sprite--it's not supposed to do that. I have an infected toe & Dr. won't let me into the garden, at least until I call him tomorrow. I would not think that medicine would work that fast. Good news, my wheels arrived & it works in the house, so they should let me push it around the garden when I can.

Snow Maiden is "extra large", this year, here...taller than some of the IB's ! Ingeborg hasn't done very well, for me....seems to be a bit of a "slow grower:. Shrug!

I think the Garden Gnomes steal the tags, Lucy.....and sometimes swap them around, just to confuse us !

used my wheeled cart to get around yesterday, tough on the slopes ( of which our garden has as lot) but much safer than just a cane. near 8 inch wheels, hand brakes & a seat. so I can sit down to write. It went much better than I thought it would.

More than usual are shorter than normal with some stalks shorter than the foliage. Hard to tell what is an SDB vs MDB and those vs. IB, etc.
Here is Banded Beauty:

and Halloween Night, one that is not very colorful to my limited color perception. This blossom is about mid-point of the other stalks and color of fall is odd with pattern missing on end.

Nice to see Halloween Night blooming ! it's "struggled" here, for several years, but, blooms "occasionally" in the spring, while it ALWAYS tries, in the fall Shrug! .!

I'm so sorry for the delayed response, as my internet went out. Yes Arlyn, I got some blooms this year. Hurray! Hurray! DH still has not gotten my iris bed completed, so I wasn't expected much. So, I was quite thrilled to see blooms from the potted ones. I posted a few pics on NGA. I thought everyone was over there and just happened to check this site last week. I'm so glad that I did.
