Yes, Alpine Lake, and Blue Doll have also opened blooms.....but, I didn't take time for pictures, and before I got down to do it............HAIL !....and lots of it! Along with torrential rain, and wind. Should be some "fresh" flowers, today.
Took time today to snap some pix:
ALPINE LAKE.....getting to be a pretty big clump !
BLUE DOLL
SPRING BEACON
Suslik has one more bud to open...the high temps the last couple days(mid 80's) shortened up it's bloom time . And my "park noid"....another pumila,is blooming all over the place ! I noticed that, where ever it's planted....sun...shade...under trees...good soil....bad dirt.....they all open at the same time
I've got a big clump of that, Marilyn ......and it would do GREAT in your garden ! There are going to be quite a few that need "shared" this year, so, if anybody sees something they would like....don't be shy !
There are several more in bloom....I'm getting behind with pictures ALREADY
Yeah, sometimes Mother Nature plays kinda' dirty ! Can you put a pail over it, Lucy....at least during the worst of the rain ?
ALPINE LAKE
BLUE DOLL
got this one , as a bonus plant, from Wilde's....they called it "Gold Scarlet" . It's obviously "gold"...but I don't see any "Scarlet" . It's obviously not a 'registered" iris, so maybe they either 'lost" the real name, or, perhaps it's just a chance seedling that came up in their beds
Knick Knack
Raspberry Jam
I took a walk , with the camera, this morning....and after all the rain (almost 5 inches), snow flurries, and cold weather.....there isn't much out there ! At least, anything worth taking a picture of .
Reddy Set managed to "soldier through'
You must have put some good "genes" in this one, Lucy!!!
There are a lot of buds coming on the SDB's, so, if TONIGHTS rain isn't too bad, maybe tomorrow will be a "better day"
Any open bloom...except for some tulips, and grape hyacinths , look pretty much like this:
all "washed out"
