Polly, Thanks: You are so kind! ![]() ![]() I was country back when it really was. Blog: http://garden.org/blogs/view/TBGDN/ |

Leon, I love your web site. Really a lot of wonderful pictures to look at. |
Yes, that's the one Leon. I think you should submit that to Fine Gardening, or some other classy mag. |
Is that last picture a rose? Whatever it is needs to be in my garden. You can keep the ice and snow, I've had more than my share this past winter. Now I have to go look at your site Leon since everyone said how wonderful it is.![]() Shannon out weeding the iris gardens this afternoon. So much work to still do. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Oh CRUD sorry Polly. You can move the above post to where ever it needs to be. I do not have a website. All I have is a bunch of plants and even more weeds. LOL Marian ![]() |
You're fine, Marian. You were commenting on Leons website. And yes, that's a rose, and it needs to be in my garden. |
Gee's I went and looked that Rose up and I ended up in Rose Heaven. Ya'll are all so bad. 75% of them all had that one sold out. That's to dangerous to go look up other plants. I must stay focused on Irises and daylilies. I already have roses coming sometime in the near furture from Wa Wa Girls or something like that. After seeing ??? Grooten??? and some others I now have more roses on my want list. I've got to stop looking at these things. If I don't look I will not know what I'm missing out on. ![]() Marian |

Ok, I took a very quick tour of your website Leon and I loved it. We gardeners have so many things in commen. I enjoyed the Birds every bit as much as the flowers. I feed the birds here year round and some people think I'm crazy for doing so. I just call them my babies and I can't risk them not having what they want to eat. LOL I loved EVERYTHING and wish I had my gardens as neat as yours. Instead mine are a hodge podge of anything and everything. Reminds me of the KITCHEN DRAWER. ![]() Thanks for the wonderful tour of your gardens along with your thoughts and so forth. I'll be going back again to re-read it and soak it in a little better. Best Regards, Marian |

Marian, Thanks for your kind comments. We had our first nice spring day yesterday, so I was able to get out and work all day in the yard and gardens. We also put up bluebird nest boxes around the property because my wife loves bluebirds, and any bird for that matter. It is supposed to be nice weather here again today so hopefully another outside work day is planned. Tulips & Daffs are just now poking through the mulch. Polly likes that pink rose; it's called Pink Grootendorst after its hybridizer. It blooms right up to the last killing freeze in Novermber. I am posting a picture of it below taken last summer when it looked so much better without snow. Looks like Shannon is working hard out there in the iris bed. We will be starting our spring clean up here this week to remove all the leaves and dead material out of the beds. This will be a lot of work, but it's got to be done. I really enjoyed your pictures; That makes me anxious to get out there and get started this morning. I know I'll be out all day today. Thanks again Marian: You are too kind! ![]() This is my wife's favorite bird next to the hummingbirds. ![]() I was country back when it really was. Blog: http://garden.org/blogs/view/TBGDN/ |

Leon do you ever root any of your roses? If so I'm holding up my hand and pushing Polly to the back of the line. LOL The bluebirds and hummers are my favorite birds too. We have about 20 bluebird houses placed up and down the driveway, (cow trail). I paint everything a bright orange color here so the bird houses are orange too. My DH made them for me one day when I said I was going to town to buy some. He hates for me to spend money on stuff like that. So I just figure it was a win win for both of us. I got more birdhouses than I was planning on and I didn't spend any money. He used material he already had laying around the place. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Okay so I think I'm in the right place. I am Selina, Owner of Selina's Iris Garden in Tasmania and friend of Anthony then mad keen lilly man who contributes so well to the Claremont Flower Show. I'm not really sure what cubits can offer me or what I do here, but the best way is to learn. My garden is set on 1 acre all garden with 180 degree views of the Derwent River. I have currently about 490 varitieties of Tall Bearded Iris, 70 Miniature Iris, set in a garden of Proteas, Roses, Daffodils, Pelagoniums, and Fuschias. Two of my roses were bred by my father in law and exist in very few places in Tassie. These are Little Esperanza and Southern Aurora. Here is a pic of my garden for an example. Oops I'm on my son's computer (older photos). Oh well here are a couple older photos ![]() This is Voodoo Spell and ![]() and English Charm. How do I add my website here? http://www.selinasirisgarden.com Selina http://www.selinasirisgarden.com/]Click here for Selina's Iris Garden! |

Welcome Selina, glad to have you here! As for what Cubits can do for you, I'm not sure. The only person I know of on here from Tasmania is Anthony, so how much Cubits will help in sales for you, I don't know. But, you can paricipate in the threads and teach us something, and maybe learn a little yourself. I'm always learning. I think the best way to get your website noticed is to have it on all the posts you make. If you look at my post, you'll see my business website at the bottom of all my posts. If you would like to do that, go to your account at the top of the page, and under signature appearing under your posts, put in your website address. Like this: http://www.selinasirisgarden.com/] Click here for Selina's Iris Garden! Between the = and the ] I left a space. Take that out. Then you can just copy it onto 'signature appearing under your posts'. Let me know if you have any trouble with it. And then come in and talk to us. That should get your website out to our members, but like I said, we don't have anyone from Tasmania I know of, other than good ole Anthony. |

I just looked at your website. It's lovely! Very nicely done. |

Selina, you need to remove the ] right after the = to make it work. And it's a beautiful site!! Oh, I meant to add, it sure is odd to see open garden for iris in Oct. and Nov.! View my NGA garden blog! My Etsy store. Summer Song Cottage Instagram Fabric Destash Summer Song Destash |
