Flopsy

This has been a good year for all the irises, but, an exceptional year for the "flatties".

I did notice that while all the irises bloomed on longer stalks, this year...the lilies are all shorter than normal ! Confused

Champagne Elegance won the award for the first rebloom ! So far, I see no other stalks forming, but, it's still pretty early. The daylilies are really starting to "pop", and the "true lilies" are just about over Sad . The trumpet vine is looking good, too.Thumb of 2020-07-14/crowrita1/692a72

Yes, Lucy.I was "too lazy" *Blush* to note that Bess Bergin was by Charles Denman, in 1972, That plant has been in constant bloom since the 18th of September ! I still see no signs of any stalks starting on anything else Shrug! !
This particular plant was "mulched" with wood chips, early in the spring (I did the whole bed, where a large tree stump was removed), and had been planted , late , last year.

Well, scraggly foliage, and all....here's a few more that managed a rebloom before winter:

Autumn Bugler

this has been another "strange" year in the garden (as well as OTHER places !!!)........rebloom was really hurt by the drought conditions...and, yes, I SHOULD have watered, maybe more than I did, but with the super warm temps, I figured things would be pretty "rotty", if I had irrigated Shrug! . When we finally started getting some rain, it was "too late" for many of them to get productive stalks up....there are about 10 different plants, starting to "stalk" now...but, I think they will be frozen , before they can mature to bloom.
