| Hi everyone and thanks ever so much for taking time to read the article. I guess it is interesting to hear how anyone got started breeding irises. . . I remember at the time I thought that this was the exclusive domain of those specialist people and it was something of a great revelation that I could do that, too. What no one tells you at the beginning---at least most of the time---is that it's a long road to any real progress. The thing is, I've come to the conclusion over the last 20 years that it isn't always and only "success" that's interesting; it's the road one travels, the people one meets and the things that happen along the way that will enrich your life. |
