| I'll add a few words of caution to Bonnie's. . . watch it out there digging, everyone! I am about to dig today in order to send plants to England, but it's only two clumps and I'm going to try and finally transplant my seedlings this week while it's cooler---not that it's going to last! I can't say that I really understand why exactly the wiki people decided to misspell names and remove accents (which actually amounts to misspelling, at least in French) and I don't suppose I'll even really be informed about what happened. What I resent the most is being lied to for no reason, being accused of saying things I didn't say and being talked down to by the board of directors. The people running the AIS had better wake up and start running their association in such a way that it is an attractive organisation to join and that their members feel that they can count on the board to come through for them in a pinch. I used to be a member of the AIS but I've opted out; the only money they'll ever get from me now is for the yearly copy of the R&I and any registrations I might make---and I feel that even that is too much if they're going to throw funds out the window for a thing like the wiki. |
