| Lucy's words are so very true, Dee. I was with two of my grand girls helping them choose some school clothes. We went back and forth about what they wanted and what they needed. When we finally had our choices made we took them to the counter to check out. The sales girl had heard a lot of our conversations and looked at me with slightly teary eyes and said 'everyone needs a granny'. I felt that she had missed a lot by not having the relationship that a grandparent can have with a grandchild. You are filling a great void in your little guys life by being there and loving him. You are soldering on and that is the only gift you can give your husband and son now but it is the greatest gift of all. Your love and caring is reflecting their love and caring. They are giving through you. You are such a great blessing to Nicolas and you are the only one that can someday tell him the stories of Larry's childhood. The only way he will really ever know his Dad and his Grand Dad is through you. |
