Eleanor Roosevelt shows a single blossom on a short stem, no pix taken with the showers. Then found White Autumn King put out a blossom on a very short stalk; early IB's, as are Cosette and Eleanor. Yankee Skipper-SDB had one bud just starting to put out a fall so should be fully out by tom'w-#7 in the sequence of openings. None of the other dwarfs are trying yet. Seems like many are shorter than they should be this year. Soil depletion?, horrid winter?, whatever. Will make note of future stem heights.

Dogwood is finally beginning the blossom push. Seems late.
