Thanks, Dee. We were wondering if it was just happening in the Mid Atlantic.

Typically, what can cause Iris that are not crowded or needing dividing not too bloom? Could it be a lack of proper nutrition?

This has been a sunless spring here. It has rained 4 to 6 days a week since early April and it has been unusually cool.

For the first time since 1995, we actually had a true season long snow cover and a hard freeze with no thawing. It's been the first time any of us have had no plant heaving to reset. 1979 was the only other year any of us can remember like this.

Dee, the plants are all off schedule here, but some have had some of the most spectacular and longest blooms in memory. I have been worried about the TB Iris, Lilies and Daylilies after that 6 months of scorching rainless summer last year.
