Grandchildren are my greatest joy. Dee said there are many ways of starting seed. I soak my seed for a few days, refrigerate a couple of months, and then plant in containers and raise inside until I can line them out in the spring. I use this method as I am impatient and feel I can get bloom, our goal, quicker. I had one which germinated in Jan 2011 and bloomed Oct 2011.....l0 months. Making the crosses is easy also.
