They do look pretty crappy when they're falling over. We all have various ways of dealing with this. Mine is to plant them with other perennials that are tall, and they keep them upright.

Now, onto the question where to buy irises. We pretty much all have our favorites. I would suggest looking at the recent post 'receipt report', and see what the irises look like from various vendors, and what we have to say about them. A lot of the threads deal with the vendors we like the most.

And I think everyone would agree you can't go wrong with some of the upcoming sales on here. Dee from Snowpeak (my Cubit co-owner) is having a 3.00 sale, and later will be having another sale from her iris society that is out of this world.

But honestly, it depends on what you want. various vendors are good for various things, so please read some of the threads, and see which ones lure you in.
