Hi all,

I live in rural SE Nebraska on 3/4 acre that used to be almost all lawn. Since we moved in about ten years ago, we've planted gazillions of trees and have gradually tilled up more and more of the lawn to make room for vegetables and ornamentals. My wife is sort of becoming an ornamental grass nut, and I've recently become a bit obsessed with irises. They've held a soft spot in my heart since my childhood, when I remember trying to nurture the ones planted around the borders of my mom's lawn. Those were totally neglected and often cursed ("Those damn flags!"). But then every year they would bloom in the most rich colors and elegant combinations. I was absolutely confounded as to why anyone wouldn't find them amazing.

After collecting rhizomes from just about all of my neighbors (mostly NOIDs) over the past several years, I went a little crazy this year and bought about fifty new cultivars. I've just planted those and am trying to tend them through this miserable heat.

I don't know if it's kosher to ask ID questions here, so I won't for now. But there is one of my NOIDs that I particularly like and that I'd like to get some experts' thoughts about. So I'd appreciate knowing where the best place to ask about it would be.

Best regards,
