Name: Paul Smith Pleasant Grove Utah Grandchildren are my greatest joy.
I think it might be fun to have a thread that isn't about a specific Iris subject all though even with a subject we wander. This morning I weeded two beds of tiny weeds with my winged weeder and then got down on my bottom and hand weeded another area. I pulled some outer leaves off of mature clumps of iris that were loose and groomed the newly planted things. I'm happy to see lots of in crease coming. I got my leaf blower out and blew the dirt and twigs and acorns off of the driveway. I love my oak but in the fall it is a mess as it produces lots of acorns that take 6 weeks to fall and the leaves take for ever to drop. Often they are not all off before Christmas. My last job til the evening cool down is to spread some alfalfa pellets around some established clumps of iris that need a little push and then water it in with a little 1/2 dilute fertilizer called Expert Gardener that I found at Wal-Mart yesterday.....15-30-15 with trace elements. Like Miracle grow but just about half the price. Then a tomato sandwich and an ear of corn for lunch and then a nap. I've earned it after working all those years...............I love my garden.
