Just have a question about borers. I haven't dealt with them for over twenty-five years -- and then only one time -- so I'm not knowledgeable. Yesterday when I was digging some rhizomes to ship out, I found several nice-sized rhizome increases attached to a large rhizomes that was rotting. I dug the whole thing up and in examining the large rhizomes, found a small white worm in the middle of the mush. Small equals about a third of an inch. From recollection, when I saw borers that one time -- they were quite large (like a caterpillar) and pink. Disgusting. So I'm wondering -- is this tiny white worm a baby borer? Any ideas? Every day is a second chance. Every day is precious time. |
