| This is a poem I wrote for a friend who had lost his wife and was having a tough time. Learning To Cope =============== Life isn't easy when you are left alone To cope with problems you have not known. To greet your friends, and put on a smile when actualy you feel like a forlorn child, But in time it happens,like a passing storm, When you welcome the day, at early dawn where birds still sing, the sun still shine though you have not noticed for quite some time, As you sit and think of years gone by with someone you loved there by your side. You feel it will never happen again, The shareing,and caring of a lover,and friend. But God never meant us to be alone, And soon you will share those things you have known. Not with the past love, that is no longer there, but with new feelings of friendship that you can share. And when that time comes,you will know it is right, It's Gods way of helping you cope with your life. Doris |
