Brilliant was the sun in the morning, the dew still upon the grass. Like snow that falls in winter, the dew will not last. But for a brief moment we see the wonder of it all for this is the time of changing scenes, this is Fall. A time when leaves have turned to gold, in splendor for all to see. Then silently falling to the ground, leaving the tree bare, and free. To take a rest, and form anew the buds for springtime flair, when we look up, and breathe a sigh to see the new leaves there. The birds will once again build nests, and start to sing their song. The changing of the scenes we see never lasts for long. Doris Klene |
