A poem for Amber, Garrett, and Dylan

Feelings of joy and happiness
Feeling of really being blessed.

Grandchildren bring the joy,
Each little girl and boy.

Grandparent's see the laughter,
The puppies they are running after.

New life is pumped into the veins,
Of all life's hopes and dreams.

A lap full of wiggles,
Ears filled with silly giggles.

A day inside with stories told,
Of what it is like to be so old.

A memory verse is learned anew
Nana shares her favorites too.

A day in the garden sharing time,
Will surely make golden sunshine.

Nursery rhymes taught about Jack and Jill,
A day of playing on the sand pile's hill.

A shopping trip filled with I really need this,
A cart that is filled with they really need that.

Love that is shared when sadness endeared,
Love that shows care when little eyes have teared.

A day baking cookies inside when the weather is cold,
Another day spent with memories sewed.

Watching a ballgame and screaming for joy,
When you shout to everyone “that's our boy”!

When nighttime falls and bedtime comes 'round,
You know that's it's your bed they have found.

Their bed is ready and made up for them,
Into your bed they go, 'til it's filled to the brim.

Joy, such joy only our gracious God can give,
In the heart of a grandparent it will forever live.

The Poetry Corner

Here are some of my poems that I hope you enjoy. I find that people are able to express their feelings more in a poem. I hope you enjoy them, and I hope you will add your poems.
