I waited ,as the sirens made their eerie sound.
I saw the leaves blowing fast along the ground,
We were being warned, this was no practice drill
something more was coming ,that gave us all a chill.
The wind picked up, with a roaring sound,
Large hail stones hitting the ground,
trees fell over like little sticks,
houses crumbled to a pile of bricks
cars were crushed by trees that fell
Nothing was sparred that I could tell.
Yet through all this God kept us safe.
What was lost can be replaced.
No one was hurt, we all survived.
We pray "thank God" we are still alive.

The Poetry Corner

Here are some of my poems that I hope you enjoy. I find that people are able to express their feelings more in a poem. I hope you enjoy them, and I hope you will add your poems.
