Well, I have to say that I'm not much of a convenience food person, but when it comes to Porkchops, I love them baked in Campbells Mushroom Soup. Of course I add a few things, such as diced onions, garlic and fresh mushrooms...but they are just so good!

Ingredients

4-6 Pork Chops
1 or 2 eggs beaten
Breadcrumbs to coat
Vegetable oil for browning
2 cans of Campbells Mushroom Soup
1 soup can of water
1 small Onion diced or thinly sliced
1 Clove garlic minced
1 sprig of parsley chopped
1/2 teaspoon of dried thyme
About 10 large mushrooms sliced
salt and pepper to taste

Preheat the oven to 350.

Cover the bottom of a large skillet with Vegetable oil and heat on medium. Dip the porkchops into the beaten egg and coat with the breadcrumbs. Cook these in the skillet until lightly browned.

In the meantime, mix the soup, water, diced onion, garlic, parsley and thyme together in a bowl. Place the chops into a baking dish and cover with the soup mixture. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.

Remove the foil and add the mushrooms and stir them into the sauce. Bake for an additonal 1/2 hour. The meat just falls off the bone!

DH would love this because of the mushroom, which I don't eat. What kind of mushrooms do you use?

Just regular white mushrooms Arlene! It actually doesn't taste that mushroomy when it's all cooked. It's comfort food!

If he see mushrooms, he'll be happy! We never ate pork when we lived in Ca but we do a lot more of it now; it is one of his favorites.
