It's all about choices.
I have a small shoulder roast to cook tonight... and I am tired of my tried and true form: coating it with a paste of Dijon Mustard, garlic, sage and roasting. I am up to try something exiting... Pulled Pork, new spices?....any help would be appreciated!!! Lovey dubby

One of my favorite pork recipes, the only thing that scares me is...I don't know how easy it will be to get cranberries this time of year. I know they still have them at my grocery store here.

Cranberry Pork Roast

One 3 to 4 pound boneless or loin pork roast
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup of ground or finely chopped cranberries
1/4 cup of honey
1 teaspoon of freshly grated orange peel
1/8 teaspoon of ground cloves
1/8 teaspoon of freshly grated nutmeg

Sprinkle the roast with salt and pepper. Place in a slow cooker. In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients, pour over roast. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours or until the roast is tender. Slice and serve hot.

OH YUM... my only hesitation is that I am trying to drop some lbs. in a low-carb way...and it is kinda full of sugars. When I am skinny I will do it!!!! Lovey dubby

I don't get it, the only sugar is honey, and it's only 1/4 cup for the whole roast.

Pulled pork - you don't have enough time for that Big Grin it needs 12 to 14 hrs in a very slow oven for it to be good......

I used to do pork roast with a liberal coating of mixed herbs, pepper, salt and paprika, then make a cream sauce with the drippings. My DH declares it delicious ...
