|Chips came out great after the third batch. I think I had too much olive oil on the first chips. And I used my Silpat, because I couldn't find the parchment and turned off the turn table. Second and third batches, I used a smaller pad for the microwave and turned the turn table back on. Third batch was best, and I left them in 5 minutes. I used the mandolin, making them the thinnest I could. Have all my finger tips, so life is good. If I try them again, I'll not put them in ice water... The mandolin made such quick work of the slices, I don't think they had a chance to darken before I used them. It might have made a difference in the crispness. It was fun...and as husband would say, "kept me out of the mall...."|
