home again, to your beautiful mountains. 14 years away was just too long. Go again soon. this is such a beautiful article, it brought tears to my eyes.

My sister in law called a few minutes ago. She asked me how soon I would 'come home again'. I very nearly told her I'd be there tomorrow, it was that beautiful.

Fourteen years was too long, but my Mom died and I thought that going back would be too painful. My children were in college, I was still teaching, and time was a long trip....excuses, I know.

So I'll go back in the fall. The mountains are even more beautiful then, and the whispers of the leaves will be louder with their colors on.
