It was almost as old as the mountains it came from, but that pie safe held much more than pies. It held all the dreams of a little girl, and it held all the scents of her childhood.

What a very nice surprise that must have been!

I'm so very happy for you! You have your special dreaming place close by once again! (It saves and holds the dreams as well as the scent of pies, doesn't it?) Smiling

My favorite hiding/dreaming spot was inside a ring of lilac bushes on the edge of our yard....or up in the mulberry tree! I could spend hours up in a tree somewhere! I even napped up there occasionally. Hilarious!
Very rarely do people look up into a tree for anything, good hiding spot!

Great article.....thank you for sharing it.

Thank you, Chelle. I've spent hours hiding in trees, too.
And yes, the pie safe holds all my dreams and memories.
