Oh yuck....makes me want to turn and run just seeing the photo.
When I was there in June, I was reminded to watch out for snakes. Whew!! It has been a long time since I had to worry about them, and thankfully I didn't encounter one while there. I usually am too frightened to move when I do.
Glad you are such a good shot. Doubt if I could have done it.
I was in the Georgetown area over the weekend, lovely place, the home of one of my college sorority friends. She has a farm where she boards and grooms horses. The house is about 200 years old. We have this gathering of old friends about every two years in October. Some of the photos were taken two years ago, and unless I have the date on them, I can't always tell the difference.
George, how very beautiful your place is. I wish I had had time to drive into the mountains while I was so close, but maybe next time.
It's still quite green here, though a few spots of yellow and red appear here and there. I thought the wind this week would clear the the trees, but it hasn't happened yet. I'm waiting for the morning when I get up and find myself buried in a huge clump of brown leaves. They'll wait till I least expect it and come down all at once, plop! It's very weird.
