At 4PM he water level was down only about a foot since this morning. Both the Kentucky and Red Rivers are below flood stage at nearest upstream gauges, but I suspect the volume of water still coming down to the confluence is more than the Kentucky can handle and that is backing up the Red into our creek for a prolonged period. I am hoping it will be down in a couple of days and we can at least see what is left of the road on the public [county] and private [our property] sides of the bridge. The dogs are enjoying the water, though.
