Some cooler weather has come this week and it is starting to feel more fall like
many of the fall bloomers are fully out
The bean fields are turning yellow and the corn ears are drooping.

rain most of the day Hurray!
really needed it
yesterday I started moving some natives to the pasture
It is a way of reducing the gardens
a lot of my plants are native so I hope to establish them in the front pasture and let them live free Big Grin

Calling it my Pasture pollinator prairie Project.

A light frost on the 27th took out the coleus but didn't touch the basil near the house
another inch and three quarters of rain the 29th
Before the frost there was a two day rain that dropped 4 inches of rain

October has been unusually wet and warm
the fields that have been picked are green again , all the leftover seeds are sprouting .
Some fields have 10-12'' corn .......looks real weird for this time of year.

November has been warmer and dry , extended the growing season a couple days of frost and a slight freeze.
That comes to an end tonight. I saw snow today, and to be down in the low 20's tonight.
Rain yesterday was the first for the month , only a quarter of an inch.

this week final clean up
Picked up most of the glass decorations
covered some more raised boxes with leaf mulch
all houseplants into the house
cleared the potting bench
put away the umbrella and hammock.

It has been a very unusually late fall

I picked and ate three strawberries today
sadly I had to leave 6-8 half ripe out to freeze
